An hour glass.

A treasured resource
Lives squarely depend on
From dusk till dawn

Forward moving
Through a ticking clock
Moving in secs, mins, hrs
Generations ‘ve traveled by

It waits for no man, nowise
Available but never a friend
Rules are inflexible

Man has no stake
Not the same everywhere
Some ahead, some behind

We have it not
Use rightly or risk badly
game of choice
